Small changes make big differences in reducing environmental impacts

The Centre, one of Scotland’s largest shopping centres, is encouraging customers to change their habits and become a little greener by hosting a ‘tip tree’ exhibition.

 

Starting on February 14th, The Centre, owned by Land Securities, is the first shopping centre in the UK to host the exhibition, of which, the main focus is a 3m tree shaped stand full of practical hints and tips that can help make people aware of how a small change in their habits can make a big difference in reducing total environmental impacts.

 

Three Million More Shoppers to The Centre

Elements Square, the £130m extension to The Centre, Livingston which opened in October 2008, has helped attract more visitors than expected during 2009.

 

Around three million additional shoppers descended on the Livingston shopping centre last year compared to 2008, despite the challenging economic climate.

 

Livingston’s new ‘Food Passport’

A platter of beauties kicked off the launch of ‘Food Passport’ in Livingston today (5 February) – a new initiative giving shoppers in West Lothian a chance to win a £4000 dream holiday.

The Food Passport, run by shopping destinations The Centre, Livingston and the Livingston Designer Outlet, will offer diners the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime holiday to one of the countries associated with the centres’ eight participating eateries – Mexico, America, India, Italy, China, Portugal and Japan.

 

Livingston Car Parking Charges Postponed
