Livingston's Got Style
Date: 5 Jun 2009
Top TV stylist, Mark Heyes, was the star attraction at The Centre’s fashion show in Livingston this weekend, providing styling advice and top tips on how to look great this summer.
Thousands of fashion lovers descended on the Livingston centre to see the Scottish TV stylist and the catwalk shows, proving despite the scorching sunshine there was still a strong desire to shop.
Taking place within the brand new extension to The Centre, Elements Square, the catwalk show was one of the biggest to be held north of the border, further reinforcing West Lothian’s reputation as a major fashion hotspot in Scotland.
Mark, who is originally from Glasgow, admitted that this weekend was his first visit to the Livingston destination. He said “I thoroughly enjoyed the activities at The Centre this weekend and was impressed by the West Lothian shopper’s passion for fashion.
“The Centre is a fantastic shopping destination, its mix of great brand names and stunning surroundings definitely makes it a jewel in the Scottish shopping crown.”
Jennifer Bruce, Marketing Manager at The Centre, added: “We had a fantastic response to our Catwalk event and enjoyed a sensational show.
Our data collection over the event also highlighted that more people from further afield such as Edinburgh, Glasgow and North Lanarkshire are choosing The Centre as the place to do their shopping.”
During the weekend, funds were also raised for The Centre’s new chosen charity CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland).
The Centre features a whole host of top fashion brands, including the newly launched, Warehouse, Dorothy Perkins, Burton, and Jane Norman as well as some firm favourites including, River Island, New Look, M&S and Debenhams.
The Centre is only a 15 drive from Edinburgh and 30 minutes from Glasgow.
