Valentines Day

Help was at hand for confused shoppers this Valentine’s Day as Livingston’s Valentine’s Angels came to the rescue of both singles and couples at Almondvale Shopping Centre.

With a gift service for couples and a meeting service for singles, love was definitely in the air in Livingston this Valentine’s Day as Almondvale Shopping Centre launched a calendar of activities for the season.

Special advisors dressed in branded outfits were located within the centre from 10^th – 14^th February, working from a specially created stage, to advise and direct shoppers to the most suitable gifts for their loved ones. Customers were able to have their presents expertly wrapped for free and on Valentine’s Day itself, complimentary glasses of cava and chocolates were served.

Lovelorn singles need not have worried as a special event on February 14^th was designed to help them find their perfect partners.  Whilst out shopping, singles looking for love were able to pick up a date to match their outfit.  The Valentine’s Angels issued all singles with a sticker to wear indicating to other shoppers that they are ‘available’ and looking for a Valentine.

 

Make-up and massage demonstrations also took place over the five day event at the centre court area of the mall with shoppers invited to come onstage to help demonstrate the treatments alongside The Body Shop.

Customers visiting Almondvale Shopping Centre also had the opportunity to enter a free prize draw for a chance to win a special Valentine’s gifts including a diamond necklace, matching fragrances and lingerie donated by mall retailers.

Almondvale Shopping Centre marketing manager, Jennifer Bruce, said:  “Along with Christmas and birthdays, Valentine’s Day is a time that puts a lot of pressure on couples to choose appropriate gifts for their partners.  Our Valentine’s Angels helped to ensure that there will be no Valentine’s Day fall outs over unwanted gifts!

“Our calendar of activities will make the season of love truly memorable for all our customers whether they pick up a fantastic gift, a makeover, a great prize or a gorgeous date, they will be glad they visited!”
